BEST COMMERCIAL INITIATIVE UNDER 1000 EMPLOYEES

Red Carnation Hotels are proud to have achieved national recognition by being awarded “Best Commercial Initiative” by the National Training Journal (June, 2006).

This fantastic achievement demonstrates the commitment to staff development and training in response to the uncertain conditions presented post 9/11 and the absolute belief that “great service brings people back”. Rising labour turnover, recruitment costs and the subsequent risk to service standards demanded action and an externally accredited managerial training programme was implemented and succeeded in reversing these trends.

This was confirmed by the judges who said, “The organisation took a strategic view of its issues and embedded learning and development into its overall strategy.”

In response Managing Director, Jonathan Raggett said

“This award recognises that Red Carnation Hotels truly invests in its people and that we know how important training is to our continued success. We may have beautiful marble bathrooms and sumptuously soft bath towels but this is normal for 5- and 4-star hotels. Our focus and strength remains firmly with our people and their making the difference.”

Amongst the other highly-esteemed short-listed finalists were AOL (UK) ltd, Office Angels and BI Worldwide. With such stiff competition Red Carnation Hotels is thrilled to secure this prestigious award from the National Training Journal and continues to develop and innovate its staff training throughout its 800 employees worldwide.
