Category: Art & Culture Dates: Friday, 01 February 2013 to Sunday, 03 February 2013 The Victoria and Albert Museum will be hosting a special weekend film festival exploring and celebrating queer cinema from February 1st to 3rd 2013. Entitled Classic, Camp and Cult: Queer Film at the V&A, the event includes historic movies that played an important role in the development of LGBT culture in film, including Outrageous!, Manila in the Claws of Neon, Prater and The Deputy. Each screening will be preceded by three queer-themed clips from the 1920s to the 1960s, courtesy of British Pathe, while various introductory talks and Q&As with special guests will be held. Meanwhile, a special drag artist performance will also be taking place on the Friday night, making it an ideal event for those with an interest in LGBT culture. Luxury London hotel guests who are staying at The Egerton House Hotel can get even more out of their stay by booking an Art and Culture at the V&A package, which includes two tickets to any feature exhibition at the museum. They will also receive a catalogue detailing everything on show, a traditional afternoon tea for two and full English breakfasts daily.
