Category: Art & Culture Dates: Saturday, 21 September 2013 to Sunday, 19 January 2014 This September the Victoria & Albert Museum will be showcasing the history of pearls from the early Roman Empire through to the present day. In collaboration with the Qatar Museums Authority, a stunning array of jewellery from Bulgari, Cartier, Chaumet, Rene Lalique and Tiffany will be on display at the central London museum between September 21st 2013 and January 19th 2014. Famous pieces in the exhibition include one of Mary Queen of Scots' necklaces, tiaras worn by European royalty and a pair of pearl drop earrings owned by the actress Elizabeth Taylor. Tickets cost £11 for adults and the exhibition is open daily from 10am to 5.30pm, with a late opening until 9.30pm on Fridays.
