Category: Music & Theatre Date: Thursday, 25 July 2013 St James Theatre will be hosting a special one-off live performance by the acclaimed West End star Rachel Tucker on July 25th 2013. This will be the first ever solo show for Tucker, who first rose to national prominence as a contestant on the TV talent show I'd Do Anything, where she reached the semi-final stage in the contest to play Nancy in a production of Oliver!. Following this, she earned the starring role of Elphaba in the smash hit London version of Wicked and ended up playing the part for longer than any other actress in the production's history, lasting for more than 1,000 performances. Her St James Theatre show is being held to coincide with the release of her debut album The Reason, which hits stores on July 22nd.
