London Heathrow Airport

London Heathrow Airport is located 20 miles to the west of Central London.

Heathrow Airport by Train

The Heathrow Express is the fastest way to travel into Central London. Trains leave Heathrow Airport from approximately 5.00am until 11.45pm. Standard adult fares are £16.50 for a single ticket purchased online (£18 if bought from the ticket machine at Heathrow Airport and £23 if purchased onboard).

Operating 150 services every day, Heathrow Express reaches Heathrow Central (Terminals 1 and 3) from Paddington in 15 minutes, with Terminal 5 a further four minutes. A free transfer service to Terminal 4 departs Heathrow Central every 15 minutes and takes four minutes.

Heathrow Connect services run from London Paddington, calling at Ealing Broadway, West Ealing, Hanwell, Southall, Hayes & Harlington and Heathrow Central (Terminals 1 and 3). For Terminals 4 and 5, there's a free Heathrow Express transfer service from Heathrow Central. Heathrow Connect journey time is 25 minutes from Paddington to Heathrow Central and adult tickets cost £8.50 single or £16.50 return.

Heathrow Airport by Tube

The Piccadilly line connects Heathrow Airport to Central London and the rest of the Tube system. The Tube is cheaper than the Heathrow Express or Heathrow Connect but it takes a lot longer and is less comfortable. Tube services leave Heathrow every few minutes from approximately 5am (5.50am Sundays) to 11.45pm (10.50pm Sundays).

From Heathrow Airport to the hotel take the Piccadilly line to South Kensington or Knightsbridge; journey time is approximately 45 minutes. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from each so if you have heavy bags we'd recommend catching a cab to transport you from the station. There are three Tube stations at Heathrow Airport, serving Terminals 1-3, Terminal 4 and Terminal 5. A single paper ticket from Heathrow (Zone 6) into Central London (Zone 1) costs £5.00 (£4.50 on Oyster). If you're going to be using London's public transport system, it's worth buying an Oyster card (a plastic smart card used instead of paper tickets for travelcards and pay as you go). View a map of directions from South Kensington Tube Station and directions from Knightsbridge Tube Station here.

Heathrow Airport by Taxi

There are usually taxis queuing for customers at London's airports. Only use a black cab or reputable mini-cab and never use unauthorised drivers. A metered trip in a black cab to/from Central London generally cost from £50 to £80 and takes 30 minutes to 1 hour. All Heathrow Terminals have an approved taxi desk and authorised taxi rank.

London Gatwick

London Gatwick Airport is located 28 miles south of London.

Gatwick Airport by Rail

The Gatwick Express is the fastest way into Central London. There are trains every 15 minutes between Gatwick Airport's South Terminal and London Victoria Station every day from 4.35am to 1.35am. Standard fares are £18.90 single and £33.20 return. Journey time is 30 minutes and the service is non-stop to Victoria.

You can also get the First Capital Connect train to London Bridge, Blackfriars and St Pancras stations. Trains leave approximately every 30 minutes. A standard adult single is £9.90 to St Pancras. The journey to London Bridge takes 40 minutes.
Southern Railway has two trains per hour during the day between Gatwick and London Bridge. The journey time is 52 minutes. A standard single ticket costs £8.50.

London City Airport

London City Airport is situated approximately 6 miles east of Central London and just 3 miles from Canary Wharf.

London City Airport by Docklands Light Railway

Catch the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to London City Airport. Services run every eight to 15 minutes. Fares on the DLR are the same as those on the Tube.

London City Airport by Tube

London City Airport is well-connected to the Tube network. Take the Jubilee Line to Canning Town or Canary Wharf, or take the Central Line to Bank, and change to the Docklands Light Railway (DLR).

London Luton Airport

London Luton Airport is located 35 miles north-west of Central London.

Luton Airport by Train

A regular shuttle bus links the airport to Luton Airport Parkway train station in around eight minutes. From there, frequent rail services travel to Central London and take as little as 21 minutes with East Midlands Trains and 25 minutes with First Capital Connect. First Capital Connect services connect to stations including St Pancras International, Farringdon, London Bridge and Blackfriars in Central London. Trains run throughout the day and night and a standard single costs £12.50.
