Starlight Children's Foundation and The Tick Tock Club
Red Carnation Hotels are proud to be associated with the Starlight Children's Foundation which aims to brighten the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by granting their wishes and providing hospital entertainment to help take their minds off the pain, fear and isolation of their illness. The Tick Tock club has been launched to help raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital to build a new Heart and Lung Centre which will treat more children and save more lives.
RCH will match pound for pound every donation received from our guests and the monies raised will be equally divided between Starlight Children's Foundation and The Tick Tock Club. We are also active in providing prizes for auction to raise as much money as possible for their causes.

This year marks the centennial of the birth of Paul Mellon (1907-1999), one of the greatest collectors and cultural philanthropists of the twentieth century. Mellon founded the Yale Center for British Art in New Haven, Connecticut-the largest and most comprehensive collection of British art outside of the United Kingdom. From 20 October 2007 until the 27 January 2008, 150 masterpieces from the Paul Mellon Collection will be on show at the Royal Academy of Arts, including important works that have not left the Center since it opened in 1977. Among the treasures are paintings by Turner, Constable, and Gainsborough; prints and drawings by Hogarth, Blake, and Rowlandson; and rare books, manuscripts, maps, and atlases. Paul Mellon's Legacy presents an unparalleled opportunity to experience some of the finest works of British art in the world.
