Euro 2008 Group A matches in Geneva

While it may well be with a heavy heart, guests of luxury Geneva hotel Hotel d'Angleterre can look forward to watching international football action in June 2008 as the Stade de Geneve hosts Euro 2008's Group A matches.

On June 7th 2008, home side Switzerland will take the Czech Republic at St Jakob Park in Basel while on the same day, patrons of luxury Geneva hotel Hotel d'Anglettere can watch Portugal play Turkey at the Stade de Geneve.

Other matches taking place in June include Czech Republic versus Portugal on June 11th and Turkey versus Czech Republic on June 15th.

"We are very satisfied with the draw since it was very balanced," Mark Muller, a member of the Geneva cantonal council commented.

And guests attending the games from nearby luxury Geneva hotel Hotel d'Angleterre may well catch some fireworks in addition to the football after Mr Muller noted that "the teams being played in Geneva involve some hot-blooded nations".
