Romeo and Juliet at the Coliseum

Event: Stuttgart Ballet perform Romeo and Juliet at the Coliseum
Date: March 25th 2008 until March 30th 2008

Held by critics to be one of the world's greatest ballet companies, the Stuttgart Ballet will be performing Romeo and Juliet at the Coliseum in March 2008.

Located only a short distance from luxury London hotel the Milestone, guests of the hotel can look forward to an evening of spectacular entertainment as John Cranko's acclaimed adaptation of the Shakespearean play is brought to life by the 70 dancers of the Stuttgart Ballet.

Cranko's Romeo and Juliet was first performed in 1962 and has survived the test of time to remain one of the best-loved ballet interpretations of the tale of the ill-fated lovers.

Visitors attending from nearby luxury London hotel the Milestone are likely to be impressed by Prokofiev's "beautiful" score, as well as "lavish" costumes of the renaissance period.

The set is described by the Coliseum as "breathtaking" and reminiscent of a "sun-baked" Verona.

Ballet enthusiasts are sure to be impressed by what is noted to be classical ballet "at the highest level".

Look out for the company's trademark Stuttgart lifts in this production, which are reportedly both difficult to execute and impressive to watch.
