Amazing Butterflies

Event: Amazing Butterflies at the Natural History Museum
Date: April 5th 2008

The new Amazing Butterflies exhibit opens at the National History Museum on April 5th 2008, with a special members-only preview taking place on April 4th.

According to the museum butterflies are "the inspiration for poetry, story and myth" and are also under threat from climate change and habitat loss.

Guest visiting the museum from nearby luxury London hotel 41 can learn about the metamorphosis from egg to caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly in a setting which includes a maze and a live tropical butterfly house.

Those who are members and can preview the event will be able to enjoy a "fun" and "educational" afternoon at the museum, with free refreshments served on its east lawn.

Entry to the museum is free and the venue is also showing the Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year images until April 2008.
