Guests of luxury Dorset hotel the Summer Lodge will be able to watch folk band The Beacons at a number of local venues next month.

Performing at Winfrith, Pimperne, Briantspuddle, Drimpton and Child Okeford this February will be The Beacons - made up of Oli-Wilson Dickson, Eddy Jay.

Dickinson will be entertaining visitors attending from nearby luxury Dorset hotel the Summer Lodge on violin and vocals while Jay will also provide vocal harmonies along with accordion and guitar rhythms.

"The Beacons take their audiences on a wild and exciting musical journey," Artsreach, the live performance guide for rural Dorset reveals.

However those attending from luxury Dorset hotel the Summer Lodge can expect to hear more than just local folk tunes as the duo perform "mind-bending" Macedonian dances, "sizzling" Gypsy serendes and "barn-storming" Bluegrass numbers.

The two performers have extensive experience as theatrical musicians and have worked all over the country.

The Beacons will be performing at village halls in Winfrith on February 21st, Pimperne on February 22nd, Briantspuddle on February 23rd and finally Drimpton and Childe Okeford on February 24th 2008.
