Describing itself as a "provocative exhibition", more than 400 works of art by Duchamp, Man Ray, Picabia will be displayed at the Tate Modern this spring.

Until May 25th 2008, residents of luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace can learn more about the three 20th century artists who "changed the course of art forever", also known as Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray and Francis Picabia.

Work by conceptualist artist Duchamp, celebrated photographer and painter Ray and French poet and painter Picabia will all be explored in detail during the exhibition.

The trio met during the First World War and remained friends for life, sharing a special artistic dialogue, according to the Tate Modern.

Duchamp, Man Ray, Picabia explores the parallels between the different artists' work as well as how they provoked each other to new levels of innovation and inventiveness.

Featuring in excess of 400 works, main items to be included in the showcase are Duchamp's Nude Descending a Staircase and Ray's rayographs.
