The Man Who Planted Trees

Event: The Man Who Planted Trees
Date: March 8th until March 9th 2008

An interesting evening out for guests staying at luxury Dorset hotel the Summer Lodge could be a visit to a showing of The Man Who Planted Trees.

Described as a "captivating puppetry adaptation" of the environmental "cult classic" by Jean Giono, The Man Who Planted Trees made a big splash at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival when it was voted the top rated children's show.

The Man Who Planted Trees tells the story of a French shepherd who sets out alongside his dog to plant a forest.

The forest transforms what was once a bleak landscape, in a show that should appeal to both children and parents staying at luxury Dorset hotel the Summer Lodge.

The multi-sensory show allows viewers to hear the wind, feel the rain and smell the lavender.

Described as both comedic, magical and inspiring, The Man Who Planted Trees can be seen at Winterborne Whitechurch village hall on March 8th and Child Okeford village hall on March 9th 2008.
