Event: Lost Highway
Date: April 4th until April 11th 2008
Psychological thriller Lost Highway will open at the Young Vic Theatre on April 4th and could be a fantastically mind-boggling treat for fans of David Lynch.
Lost Highway, which is based on his 1997 cult film of the same name, "explores dislocation and desire through the eyes of [a] troubled jazz musician" and will run at the theatre for a week.
The play's musical score has been written by award winning opera composer Olga Neuwirth, combining a range of genres.
"Neuwirth's score is an interplay of live and pre-recorded sound and electronics with echoes of Monteverdi, Weill, Porter and jazz," the London Theatre Guide claimed.
The Young Vic Theatre is based in the South Bank area of the city, which is close to the Tate Modern and the National Theatre. Those staying at the luxury London hotel, the 41, should find it easily accessible.
The theatre is the UK's leading base for young stage actors and directors, and regularly hosts workshops and teaching events for schools and colleges in its local area.
Lost Highway will be performed as part of the 2007-8 Sky Arts season.
