Hard Rock Calling

Event: Hard Rock Calling
Date: June 28th until June 29th 2008

Some big names have already been confirmed for this year's Hard Rock Calling event in Hyde Park London.

Taking place not far from luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair, Hard Rock Calling will feature legendary rock stars Eric Clapton and The Police as well as more modern artists like Sheryl Crow and KT Tunstall.

The new festival will take place from June 28th until June 29th 2008 and according to LondonTown will offer music "from bands who remember the good old days".

Previously known as Hyde Park Calling, the event began in 2006 and was organised by Hard Rock Cafe and Live Nation, playing primarily rock music.

In its first year, those attending from nearby luxury hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair may have seen performances from Roger Waters, The Who, Razorlight, The Zutons, Ocean Colour Scene, Texas and Starsailor.

Last year, the stage was graced by Crowded House, Peter Gabriel, Aerosmith and Gareth Gates.

This event is likely to be a popular day out for adults and families staying at luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair.
