Guests enjoying family breaks at Hotel d'Angleterre in Geneva this autumn may be interested in attending an annual musical festival that is due to take place at this time.

In the vicinity of luxury Geneva hotel Hotel d'Angleterre this September, the World Festival - an open-air world music event - will take place.

From September 3rd until September 7th 2008, a mixture of newcomers and well established artists will take to the stage.

Last year, the show featured Toure Kunda, Incognito, Chico and the Gypsies and a tribute act to the Beatles. The NY All Stars also performed at the World Festival.

According to event's site What's On When, DJs also play music from periods including the 1980s in a bid to entice holidaymakers and locals on to the dance floor.

Other diverse forms of world music such as Latino rhythms are also played and for those on family breaks in Geneva, there is a special children's area meaning that nobody is left out.

As one would expect from a World Festival, cuisine from around the globe will also be available at food stalls at the event.
