This summer those enjoying family breaks at the Montague on the Gardens can add to their fun by catching the stage version of Disney's High School Musical movie.

Taking place from June 30th right through until August 10th 2008, the stage production will enjoy a limited run at the Hammersmith Apollo.

According to the theatre, this popular movie has been adapted for the theatre complete with "added fun".

High School Musical tells the tale of schoolmates Troy and Gabriella. While Troy is the popular captain of the basketball team, Gabriella is a transfer student with an aptitude for science.

While the trials and tribulations of the pair may appeal particularly to children of similar ages who are on family breaks to the capital, parents too may well be swept away by the stories of peer pressure and cliques that define high school life.

The story of Troy and Gabriella as they win the lead roles in the school show features all the characters and songs from the film and includes live band music and performances by up and coming young dancers.
