As we move into British Summer Time thoughts are turning to festivals and street parties and the one big event that takes pride of place in July.
Pride London 2008 is taking place not far from gay friendly hotel the Rubens at the Palace on July 5th 2008.
And in recent years, the Pride Parade has attracted an increasing numbers of straight revellers in addition to its regular gay crowd.
Combining politics and fun, Pride London is an annual parade and festival which takes place in Central London. Marching through the city, events also take place in Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and Soho Square.
Guests staying at Red Carnation Hotels can join in the colourful parade as it travels down Oxford Street - or simply enjoy the two-weeks worth of events such as comedy, theatre, arts and sports that precede the march.
In Soho and Leicester Square enjoy cabaret and bands in addition to a massive food festival. Celebrations are expected to last well into the night.
