City of London Festival
Event: City of London Festival within the Square Mile

Guests at luxury London hotel the Montague this summer may wish to time their trip to coincide with the City of London Festival.
Running from June 20th to July 10th, the 2008 festival will offer visitors a wide-ranging, eclectic programme of visual art, literature, film and music events all set within the city's historic Square Mile.
The festival was established in 1962 and aims to celebrate the rich diversity of London, reflected in this year's itinerary, which features activities ranging from city walks to a student short film competition.
Additional highlights will include two classical music events in St Paul's Cathedral, featuring the music of Brahms, Wagner, Richard Strauss and Mahler and a variety of exciting street acts.
London's 800-year-old Square Mile itself is a melting pot of culture, containing art galleries, theatres, museums, concert halls and the world-renowned Barbican Centre.
