SouthWestFest

Event: SouthWestFest in Westminster
Date: June 28th to July 13th 2008.

The fourth annual SouthWestFest is set to give potential guests one more reason to book into luxury London hotel the Rubens this summer.

From June 28th to July 13th, SW1 will be welcoming an expected crowd of more than 9,000 people to its unique annual celebration of community spirit.

Approximately 50 community groups, voluntary, statutory and professional organisations will be represented at 40 different events during the two-week programme, showcasing the very best the area has to offer the capital and its visitors.

Events will include a spectacular carnival parade featuring floats designed and presented by local groups, as well as a film festival, family day and a huge open-air event in St George's Square.

Local radio station SW1 Radio FM will be in town to cover the event, which takes place in the historic city of Westminster, home to some of London's top tourist attractions - including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square.
