Event: Innocent Village Fete in Regent's Park
Date: August 2nd to 3rd 2008
The beverage company Innocent Smoothies is holding its annual Village Fete in Regent's Park in London at the start of August.
A number of live musical acts have been confirmed for the two-day party, including the James Taylor Quartet.
Events on the day will include welly wanging, morris dancing, duck herding, a coconut shy, alfresco dancing and many more.
There will be a large farmers' market on site and licensed bars for the adults, as well as many cafes and picnic areas selling scones and cream tea.
It will open at 11:00 BST and close at 19:00 BST on both Saturday and Sunday. It is a non-profit event that is hoping to raise money for the Samaritans, Friends of the Earth, Wellchild and the innocent foundation.
Families looking to base themselves near the action could consider staying at the luxury London hotel the Rubens.
Regent's Park is approximately 410 acres in size and includes stunning rose gardens containing 30,000 roses of 400 varieties.
