Event: Richard Prince exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery
Date: June 26th to September 7th 2008
Guests looking to add some culture to their stay at luxury London hotel the Milestone this summer might like to visit the Richard Prince exhibition at London's Serpentine Gallery.
The painter, photographer, sculptor and collector helped plan the display personally, which will feature new sculptures alongside some of his most iconic and recognisable works.
Described as one of the most influential - and controversial - artists of our time, Prince's work predominantly explores pop culture and fascination with America.
He rose to fame in the late 1970s by re-photographing advertising images, an act which spawned fierce debates about ownership and originality.
Prince's new display follows on from the hugely successful Guggenheim exhibition, Spiritual America, which closed in January and also featured close collaboration from the artist.
The Serpentine Gallery is one of London's best-loved contemporary art museums, attracting approximately 750,000 visitors a year.
