BFI 52nd London Film Festival

Event: The Times BFI 51st London Film Festival

The Times BFI London Film Festival has announced that this years' event will take place between October 15th and 30th.

During its fortnight's duration, the festival draws together some of the world's leading filmmakers, industry professionals as well as a large number of avid film fans interested in seeing some of the latest offerings in contemporary cinema.

The public screening programme this year will present 180 feature films and 130 short films in addition to panel discussions, master classes, screen talks and live events.

Sandra Hebron, artistic director for the festival commented: "Our October dates also make us ideally positioned to premiere high-profile quality titles due for winter and spring release, as well as to showcase some of the most hotly anticipated awards contenders."

Among those who attended last year were Wes Anderson, Robert Rodriguez, David Cronenberg and Ang Lee.
