Event: A performance by the Faure Quartet
Date: September 7th 2008
Performing the second piano quartet by Dvorak, the Faure Quartet will be a treat for any fans of classical music.
Taking place on September 7th at 11:30 GMT, the performance is a perfect opportunity to hear the sounds of one of Dvorak's most famous compositions by a quartet that have been described by The Strad as attracting "superlatives wherever they go".
Formed in 1995, the Faure Quartet regularly plays at major venues in Europe, including the Philharmonie Berlin, the Musikhalle Hamburg and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
After enjoying the concert, why not retire to the Chesterfield Mayfair - a luxury London hotel - for a delicious lunch.
The quartet took their name from the famous French composer Gabriel Faure, who lived from May 1845 until November 1924.
