Event: Marc Salem at Shaw Theatre
Date: July 22nd until July 27th 2008
Following three previous sell-out seasons performing in London, master of the mind Marc Salem is returning to Shaw Theatre next month.
Between July 22nd and July 27th, the American counterpart to mind-manipulator Derren Brown will entertain and enthral audiences with his mind tricks and stage magic.
Guests visiting from luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair may find that Salem's performance has less of the "showmanship" that Brown exhibits, according to LondonTown.
Described as "astonishing" by the Telegraph, Salem claims to have been a "student of the human mind" for in excess of three decades. A former FBI agent, he is considered to be one of the world's leading authorities on non-verbal communication.
Salem's Mind Games show ran for two extended seasons on Broadway to critical acclaim and also played at the Sydney Opera House, the Edinburgh Festival and the Esplanade in Singapore.
Business travellers attending meetings at luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair may also pick up important communication tips, as Salem explores non-verbal communication and how to read people.
According to A Barbour's Louder Than Words: Nonverbal Communication, communication is made up of seven per cent words, 38 per cent vocal - volume and intonation - and 55 per cent body language.
