Event: A tour of London's Buddhapadipa Temple

Situated close to the heart of Wimbledon, this Buddhist temple is a breathtaking example of Thai Buddhist architecture and a delight to explore.
Created by a number of young Buddhists in 1982, the temple is happy to accommodate visits by both individuals and groups, although the latter should make use of the temple's website to book ahead.

In addition to the presence of a beautiful shrine room, the temple also has a fine selection of mural paintings, beautifully illustrating the life of Buddha.
"Once the walls of the Ubosot had been modified to make them suitable for mural painting, the work on the Life of the Buddha could begin," said the temple.
