Joan Rivers - A Work in Progress by a Life in Progress

Event: Joan Rivers - A Work in Progress by a Life in Progress at Leicester Square Theatre
Date: August 29th until September 18th 2008

Joan Rivers' autobiographical four-character play, Joan Rivers: A Work in Progress by a Life in Progress is making its Leicester Square Theatre debut this summer.

Guests staying at luxury London hotel the Montague on the Gardens can catch the acerbic comic's staged self portrait at the theatre from August 29th until September 18th 2008.

The comedy is set prior to an awards ceremony in the comedienne's dressing room and is the location from which Rivers launches her introspective opinions on youth and old age, trials and tribulations and what it means to be a woman in Tinseltown.

Visitors attending the show from nearby luxury London hotel the Montague should be prepared for Rivers' own brand of profanity littered comedy after the 75-year old was recently removed from ITV1 day time talkshow Loose Women for swearing.

The Hollywood veteran had been promoting the play on the popular show.

"I have won an Emmy, been nominated for a Tony award, done every show and become an icon and when people ask me what is left in my career I have always said I don't know, but I have never been forcibly thrown out of a TV studio. It is another milestone," Rivers was quoted by the Guardian as saying.
