Conservation Walks Vergelegen Wine Estate

Event: Conservation Walks Vergelegen Wine Estate
Dates: July 16th - August 13th 2008

This summer a variety of events are taking place at the Vergelegen Wine Estate that could appeal to visitors staying at luxury Cape Town hotel the Twelve Apostles.

From barrel tasting to cooking demonstrations and winter dinners, there are many options to choose from, including the Vergelegen Wine Estate Conservation Walks which are taking place from July 16th until August 13th 2008.

Guided conservation walks at Vergelegen are led by resident conservationist Gerald Wright, and take in the sights and smells of the 300-year-old wine estate in Somerset West.

According to Tourism Cape Town, Mr Wright selects routes depending on the weather, and the options include the wetland areas, while talks relate to the Bontebok camp and the Nguni Cattle.

A maximum of 16 guests residing at luxury Cape Town hotel the Twelve Apostles can embark upon the walks - which last for two hours - at any one time.

Following their completion of the nature trail, walkers can enjoy a continental breakfast at the Lady Phillips restaurant at the Vergelegen Wine Estate.
