Indigenous Exhibition

Event: Indigenous Exhibition
Dates: Until August 31st 2008

This summer, Gordon Clark's photographic exhibition, entitled Indigenous is showcasing at the Odes Gallery and may be an event which guests staying at luxury Cape Town hotel the Twelve Apostles wish to attend.

South African photographer Clark's African photography includes portraits of rural communities in Africa and shows them in harmony with the surrounding land.

This exhibition could be a great chance for visitors residing at luxury Cape Town hotel the Twelve Apostles to move beyond what is shown on the news and see every day Africans and their lives.

"I wanted to shoot Africans at peace, I wasn't interested in the usual photographs portraying hardship, pain or suffering," Clark notes in regards to the exhibit.

Also, the photographs taken by Clark often are shot while he resided in the communities, as an "unobtrusive presence".

Indigenous is unique in the sense that no images have been posed for and they have all come about as part of an organic process.

The exhibition takes place until August 31st, and guests enjoying family breaks at the Twelve Apostles during this period may wish to make the most of a special Kids Fun in the Sun package that is being offered by the hotel this summer.
