Event: Twelfth Night at Kensington Gardens
Date: August 2nd until 15th 2008
Combine English heritage park space with old English theatre this summer, as the Oxford Shakespeare Company performs Twelfth Night in the Magnificent Kensington Gardens.
Steeped in history, the gardens were once part of Hyde Park and are the setting for Kensington Palace, formerly home to such regal tenants as William III and Mary II and Queen Victoria.
Now home to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground and Memorial Walk, there is much to see in Kensington Gardens for guests residing at luxury London hotel the Milestone aside from theatre productions.
Nonetheless, the performance of one of Shakespeare's classic and enduring comedies - Twelfth Night - is indeed reason enough to visit.
The tale of romantic mistaken identity is told in a lighthearted manner by the "ever popular" Oxford Shakespeare Company from August 2nd until August 15th.
Performances will take place on the lawns adjacent to the Orangery and audiences are invited to sample an al fresco dinner at the Terrace Restaurant prior to the show.
