Event: Rain Man starring Josh Hartnett at the Apollo Theatre

An adaptation of the smash hit film Rain Man is coming to London's West End this summer.
Starring Hollywood actor Josh Hartnett as 16-year old Charlie Babbit - a role originally played by Tom Cruise in the movie version - Rain Man will open at the Apollo Theatre London, not far from luxury London hotel the Montague on the Gardens, on August 28th 2008.
Rain Man tells the tale of Charlie Babbit who is left some rose bushes and a car following the death of his father. However, the money is not left to Charlie and in his pursuit of what he deems to be his true inheritance he discovers his hitherto unknown autistic brother, Raymond.
From there on out, Charlie takes Raymond - played by Olivier-nominated actor Adam Godley - to Las Vegas where he learns how to gamble, dance and even kiss.
Writer Dan Gordon and director David Grindley bring this classic story onto the stage as a "funny, heart-warming and touching contemporary story", adapted from the original screenplay by Barry Morrow and Ronald Bass.
