Event: Fang Lu and David Reimondo exhibition at the Albemarle Gallery
Date: September 11th to October 11th 2008
The Albemarle Gallery in Mayfair will be hosting an exhibition dedicated to two of Europe's most fascinating young artists this autumn.
Running from September 11th to October 11th, the show will bring together the work of Spain-based Fang Lu and the Italian David Reimondo.
Lu, who was born in Taiwan and spent some of his early years in the US, is influenced by Bacon and Richter. His paintings feature figures and faces that are often obscured in a blur of purple shades.
Genoa-born Reimondo forgoes paintbrushes and uses bread as his canvas, blackening the slices and preserving them in resin to create his pieces. He seeks to explore the relationship between the real and the virtual through his unorthodox methods.
Whether visiting this exhibition, or simply to celebrate a special occasion, a stay at the Chesterfield Mayfair is a great way to see one of London's finest localities.
The Mayfair Suites offer at the luxury hotel provides guests with fresh flowers, complementary champagne and chocolates on arrival.
