Event: TCM Crime Scene Festival 2008
Dates: September 25th until September 27th 2008
Lovers of crime drama in book and big screen format may wish to attend the UK's main festival dedicated to the genre - TCM: Crime Scene Festival 2008.
Crime in the fields of literature, film and television will be explored in the movie channel TCM's festival which runs from September 24th until 28th at Waterstones Piccadilly and the Institute of Contemporary Art.
In order to ensure you have plenty of time to attend both venues and explore the seventh annual TCM Crime Scene Festival fully, why not take advantage of the Mayfair Weekends package offered by luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair, which not only includes complimentary champagne but a later checkout of 6:00 pm on your departure day.
Film previews taking place at the Institute of Contemporary Art include Taken, a crime thriller starring Liam Neeson and Lakeview Terrace starring Samuel L Jackson at his most malevolent.
No crime festival would be complete without a classic whodunit, and guests attending from nearby luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair will not be disappointed with a preview of the new Poirot episode Mrs McGinty's Dead. Poirot star David Suchet will also be attending the festival.
Literature highlights taking place at Waterstones Piccadilly will include the appearance of authors Stella Rimington, Peter James and "a host" of other writers.
