Keith MacMillan's three-act ballet Manon is coming home to the Royal Opera House this autumn, providing audiences with two hours and 40 minutes of drama, skill and grace.
Following the central character Manon, a young girl tormented by two conflicting desires, fans will be treated to debut performances from a selection of new dancers.
Manon is trapped between her love for the student Des Grieux and her yearning for the wealth and security provided by a rich man, with audiences taken on a journey through the thoughts of a troubled character.
Fans will be given a stunning insight into the 18th century with the stage production bringing the opera house to life with the busy courtyard of an inn and the atmosphere of Parisian establishments and their courtesans combined with a fitting music score.
Couples interested in having a weekend away could make their experience even more memorable by staying in a suite at the luxury London hotel the Montague on the Gardens and enjoying the Get More From Your Stay package.
As well as a bottle of champagne on arrival and two tickets to the London Eye, guests are treated to a two-course pre-theatre dinner, which will ensure they will not get hungry during the performance.
