Event: Six Characters in Search of an Author
Dates: September 10th to November 8th
The Gielgud Theatre will be showing an adaptation of the Six Characters in Search of an Author play from Pirandello until next month.
Lovers of theatre can sample this play, which has been described as "seriously thrilling" by the Evening Standard and "exhilaratingly imaginative'" by the Times, according to the official website.
The performance sees six half-finished characters appearing on stage demanding their parts are completed and is part of a partnership between Chichester Festival Theatre and London's Gielgud Theatre.
It has been running since September 10th and will continue until November 8th, starring actors such as Ian McDiarmid, Dyfan Dwyfor and Jamie Bower.
The play was originally written by Luigi Pirandello, with this version being created by Rupert Goold and Ben Power.
Goold is also directing the play, having seen previous success with his version of Macbeth at the Chichester Festival Theatre, which went on to sell out at the Gielgud and in New York, the official website states.
Those wanting to extend their weekend can opt for the Mayfair package from the Chesterfield hotel. It allows guests to keep their room until 18:00 GMT on the final day, in addition to getting champagne and afternoon tea for two.
