The Man Who Planted Trees at the Unicorn Theatre

Event: The Man Who Planted Trees
Date: April 14th until April 26th

Parents keen to tear their children away from the TV or off Facebook can introduce them to one of the great forms of entertainment which has helped establish London as one of the world's best artistic cities.

Stage productions tend not to feature highly on most youngsters' lists of exciting things to do but mums and dads can show them just how much fun they can be by taking them to the Unicorn Theatre next month.

Based on the book by Jean Giono, The Man Who Planted Trees is sure to have them gripped from the first minute until the last.

A charming and funny combination of comedy, puppetry and storytelling, the tale follows a French shepherd who stares out onto a barren piece of land and decides to rejuvenate it.

He does this by planting trees, and despite going through two World Wars and being attacked by unscrupulous developers, the man and his faithful dog show just how much can be done by one person.

A story with a positive environmental message, the kids are sure to love it and may fall in love with the theatre forever.

Why not make a weekend of it in the capital?

Kids love staying in hotels and they will find nowhere better than the luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair.

By choosing the Mayfair Weekends package, mum and dad can sip fine champagne in the room and enjoy afternoon tea while the youngsters can look forward to seasonal treats and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
