The year is 1830 and Paris is home to two people who will, unknown to them, experience the warm highs and icy cold lows of love.
Mimi and Rodolfo come into each other's lives in the Latin Quarter when the young girl interrupts the poet to ask for a light for her candle.
Rodolfo is bowled over by his pretty visitor and soon the pair declare their love for one another.
However, Mimi, who is suffering from tuberculosis, soon grows weary of her handsome poet's possessive nature and seeks a release from his iron grip.
Rodolfo is uncertain about the future as well, believing his lover's illness will soon kill her and the pair agree an amicable split.
That though is not the end of their story and they soon find themselves together again as Mimi's sickness slowly spells the end of her life.
La Boheme is one of the best-loved operas of all time and set to Puccini's score, promises a powerful evening for guests at the luxury Florida hotel the Chesterfield Palm Beach.
