Event: Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela
Date: April 14th to the 18th
The Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela is one of the world's most exciting musical ensembles and guests at the luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace will have the opportunity to see them soon.
Between April 14th and 18th the group will put on two concerts, showing UK audiences how brilliant they are as a unit and why they have a reputation for providing powerful and emotional displays of complex music.
Gustavo Dudamel will lead these young charges through their performances in London, practising pieces from the likes of Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky and Bartok to make sure the youths give an unforgettable show.
There will be an opportunity to hear maestro Jose Antonio Abreu, the man responsible for initiating Venezuela's voluntary-sector music programme El Sistema, and members of the orchestra discuss their experiences since they became part of the ensemble.
Highlights include special brass band concerts and an evening with Cuban violinist Omar Puente and his group of UK-based Latin musicians for a reinterpretation of traditional and popular Latin music.
These sweet rhythms will stay with guests at the Rubens at the Palace all the way back to the hotel.
Once at the establishment couples can enjoy the perks which come with the Suite Dreams package, which include chocolate-dipped strawberries, a three-course table d'hote dinner for two and a bottle of house champagne.
