Sister Act at the London Palladium

Back in 1992, Whoopi Goldberg's portrayal of a murder witness on the run who disguises herself as a nun to avoid the villains was a massive cinema success.
Some 17 years later and Whoopi is looking to transfer that success to the stage with Sister Act - A Divine Musical Comedy, although she is working behind the scenes as opposed to being the star of the show.
The production is based very closely on the film, with disco diva Deloris Van Cartier finding herself in the wrong place at the wrong time.
She witnesses a murder, and for her own safety, is placed in protective custody.
The problem is she is hidden in a convent where she struggles to adapt from her fun-loving party lifestyle to the more rigid rules and way of doing things in her new home.
However, she is blessed with the gift of music and uses her talent to inspire the choir and breathe fresh life into the church and its community.
All this commotion blows her cover though, leading to a hilarious battle between ruthless villains and a group of nuns who are not to be messed with.
This is fun for all the family, with mum, dad and the kids laughing from beginning to end.
