Art fans and historians would have loved the chance to look into the minds of great artists like Picasso, Gauguin and Monet but, unfortunately, that was an opportunity which never came their way.
However, for guests staying at the luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace, there is the chance to see into the minds of some of the most prominent artists in the world today.
From the end of next month, the Hayward Gallery will be transformed into one giant imagination, with each contributor taking a section and using it as a canvas to show what goes on in their heads.
The artists taking part include Yayoi Kusama, Bo Christian Larsson, Chiharu Shiota, Charles Avery and Thomas Hirschhorn and they will transform the Hayward's indoor galleries and outdoor sculpture terraces into a series of environments representing their individual mindscape.
Walking in my Mind will provide a unique opportunity to learn more about these creative talents and what it is that inspires them to do what they do, what makes them tick and what has happened in their lives that has led them to where they are today.
After exploring the inner workings of the mind, why not enjoy a picnic in the Royal parks with the Rubens hotel's Summer at the Palace package?
Guests can enjoy various cold delicacies while discussing what they have learnt about the artists in a delightful environment.
