Event: Gay Icons
Date: July 2nd until October 18th
It's Showtime at the luxury London hotel the Montague on the Gardens, the only place to be for couples looking to pampered and spoilt on a weekend break.
Guests can look forward to unrivalled comfort, a full English breakfast, a pre-theatre dinner with coffee and dessert later and two tickets to a theatre of choice, subject to availability.
If the theatre tickets take care of the evening's entertainment, then the Gay Icons exhibition can do the same in the morning and afternoon.
Waheed Alli, Billy Jean King, Ian McKellen, Ben Summerskill and six other high-profile gay figures have selected their gay icons, people who may or may not be gay themselves and have had an influence on the person who picked them.
The figures chosen come from a vast range of areas and social backgrounds, with the likes of Francis Bacon, Daphne Du Maurier, David Hockney, Harvey Milk, Will Young and Diana, Princess of Wales.
Each of their stories will be illustrated through various photographic portraits, with works by Andy Warhol, Linda McCartney and Cecil Beaton featuring in the exhibition.
