Michelangelo's Dream of Human Life is one of the most significant pieces of art ever created and one of the most precious pieces in the Courtauld Gallery's collection.
This complex sketch was completed at the height of the artist's powers and demonstrates his superb skills as a draughtsman and his wonderfully inventive thinking.
In mid February, the gallery will host a special exhibition exploring the making and meaning of this piece in the context of other works Michelangelo and his contemporaries created.
It offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the man and his work and a chance for couples staying at the nearby luxury London hotel the Montague on the Gardens to enjoy a cultural afternoon together.
