The 1960s was a time when counterculture and social revolution came to the fore and libertal attitudes became the norm.
It is during this much-celebrated period that a group of young New Yorkers struggled to balance their lives and loves, rejecting the conservative lifestyles of their parents to embrace the era of flamboyance and excess.
Led by Berger and Claude, these 20-somethings set out to enjoy the age of new, exciting and radical thinking, with each having to face serious questions about themselves and what they truly believe in.
Hair was an instant hit when it debuted in 1967 and many of the songs which made it such a success remain popular to this day.
Theatre fans in London will have the opportunity to see this masterpiece for themselves when it comes to the Gielgud Theatre at the beginning of April.
