Event: Exposed: Voyeurism, Surveillance and the Camera
Date: May 28th until September 19th
There is something of a power struggle going on between those with the authority over image production and the rights and desires of individuals to look at what interests them.
It is one which will be debated and explored in a new exhibition coming to the Tate Modern in late May.
Exposed: Voyeurism, Surveillance and the Camera will present over 200 photographic works offering a new and enlightening perspective on subjects considered both iconic and taboo.
With photos taken by well-known artists and photojournalists, including Henri Cartier-Bresson, the exhibition will explore the fraught relationship between artists, authors and individuals who believe they deserve a greater say in the production of images.
Visitors will need at least a couple of days to take in and digest all of the works on display, meaning those travelling from outside the capital will require accommodation in one of London's top luxury hotels.
There are few which can match the quality and class of the luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace, which is just a stone's throw away from the Tate Modern.
Those who book a two-night stay can take advantage of the Get More From Your Stay package, which includes a choice from a bottle of chilled Champagne on arrival, a three-course carvery dinner and a romantic turndown complete with floating candles and chocolate-dipped strawberries.
