A new contemporary dance piece focusing on the ever-increasing pace of the world is to get its UK premiere in London this October.
Sadler's Wells will host the inaugural performances of The Song, the latest work from Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker's and her dance company Rosas.
Performed using ten dancers - nine men and one woman - the performance is unusual in that it takes place on an entirely empty stage and relies on only the essential sounds and lighting.
As a result, guests staying at luxury London hotel the Montague on the Gardens will see dancers who push the boundaries of movement and use a combination of "mathematical precision and human inventiveness", according to the Sadler's Wells website.
The venue described Ms De Keersmaeker's newest creation as being "about a world that is rushing in on itself" and her work has won critical acclaim, with the Guardian stating: "This natural born choreographer holds her audiences captive."
Created in conjunction with visual art specialists Michel Francois and Ann Veronica Janssens, The Song runs from October 19th to 21st and guests at the Montague who want to attend will be within walking distance of the theatre.
