Whisky lovers planning a relaxing break in Cape Town in the coming months will have a treat on their hands if they time their stay to coincide with the upcoming FNB Whisky Live Festival.
Taking place between November 3rd and 5th at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, the event - which is now in its eighth year - gives visitors the chance to try out a range of tipples from around the world.
Over 180 whiskies will be on offer in the Tasting Hall, which will also feature a dedicated zone where attendees can learn about the fine foods that complement whisky, such as oysters, French cheeses and chocolates.
Schweppes will be running workshops to teach visitors how to prepare "a variety of stylish and sophisticated whisky cocktails" and those who like a whisky so much they want to take a bottle home with them may wish to take a trip to the Picardi Rebel store, which will be running regular promotions over the three days.
Guests staying at luxury Cape Town hotel the Twelve Apostles may want to head to the event after spending a day relaxing and enjoying the facilities on offer, as it does not get underway until 18:00 local time.
