London is not short of options for people wanting to pick up some culinary delights while enjoying a stay in the capital.
The city's array of farmer's markets offers a wide range of food and drink, but for cheese connoisseurs, one upcoming event at the Southbank Centre may take priority.
Running from October 15th to 17th, the Cheese and Wine Festival in the venue's square promises to offer the best produce available in the UK, along with varieties from countries such as Spain, Italy, France and Switzerland.
Among the attractions will be a group of Bordeaux producers showing off the region's finest wine, cognac and cheese, while Sicilian cheeses and wines will be available from a special mobile delicatessen.
And attendees will be able do more besides simply taste the goods on offer, as the total Cheese Experience promises to offer produce-making demonstrations from Bob Kitchin, while MasterChef winner Steven Wallis will also be on hand to provide cooking tips.
Those staying at luxury London hotel the Chesterfield Mayfair will be able to enjoy lunch or dinner at the festival and guests who book the hotel's Mayfair Weekends package can also begin their day with a full English breakfast, which is included in the offering.
In addition, a traditional afternoon tea for two is available on one day of their stay, while a complimentary bottle of Champagne will be waiting in the room upon check-in.
