Bushman's Kloof makes its 'Entrée'

News hot off the international press is the dining experience and cuisine at Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat. It has received global acclaim having been voted one of only three winners in the coveted 'Best Hotels for Food in Africa, Middle East and the Indian Ocean' category of the 2010 Condé Nast Traveller UK Gold List. Sharing the title with Bushmans Kloof are Le Quartier Francais in Franschhoek, and all-villa resort Maia in the Seychelles.
Acknowledged as one of the world's leading travel magazines, the Condé Nast Traveller's Gold List, now in its sixth year, is widely regarded as one of the ultimate guides to the world's best hotels. Citing Executive Chef Floris Smith's 'contemporary Cape cuisine' using 'local ingredients and indigenous herbs', as the X-factor, along with the exciting dining choices ranging from a barbeque at Embers, to formal dining at Homestead, readers gave Bushmans Kloof their unequivocal stamp of approval.
Says Managing Director Clive Bennett, of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection in South Africa, which incorporates Bushmans Kloof, "Being commended for our cuisine on a global level for the first time is indeed an honour, and a fitting accolade to top off the successes of 2009.
