Terry's Times

Good morning from a very sunny London Town.

It was wonderful being with you all in Las Vegas. As you can see from the photograph we are off to the races and are odds-on favourites to have another wonderfully successful year due to all of your hard work on our behalf.

Virtuoso

All of the Red Carnation team are back in their very busy hotels and whilst it’s hard to believe, we are already getting ready for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We already have a lot of bookings for these wonderful occasions but it’s not too late to make reservations (just don’t leave it too long).

I don’t know about you, but it seems to me that every year Virtuoso Travel Week gets even better than the year before. Mathew and Albert and their teams excelled themselves.

As you know, this year Red Carnation had a larger presence than ever at VTW and this was boosted even further by having Brett Tollman, the CEO of The Travel Corporation, and Vicki Tollman, Director of TTC  and Red Carnation Hotels with us.  Both Vicki and Brett were working tirelessly in promoting, amongst other things, our sustainability credentials. Whilst we were all very busy, we had lots of fun. I’m still trying to find the person that put alcohol in my drinks, so I can sit next to them next year.

It was fantastic to have our USA-based sales team all together for the first time. We now have a very strong team to answer any and all of your questions, and in your time zones, including Frances Broussard (Vice President of Sales), Melissa Young (Director of Sales, East Coast) and Brianne Doherty (Director of Sales, West Coast). I’m looking forward to getting a few more hours’ sleep but of course my phone is always handy, and Alex Tollman (Director of Sales, Canada and Mid-West) is always available from the UK, too.

Although we were only away for a few weeks, the Tollman family bought two new properties: 100 Princes Street in Edinburgh and Xigera Safari Lodge in Botswana. Each one will be finished in the luxurious style for which Red Carnation has become so well known for (further exciting details to follow).

We continue to be proud of the beautifully reimagined Suites at The Milestone Hotel & Residences, uniquely designed and inspired by their royal location directly opposite Kensington Palace. Andrew Pike, the wonderful General Manager, is on standby to welcome you and your clients. The two- and three-bedroom Residences, along with our multiple connecting and family suite options, are perfect for longer stays and are now available for a minimum of just three nights across much of the year. With a wealth of specific children’s amenities and treats, The Milestone team loves welcoming families.

Our current and best-value offers include three nights for the price of two, additional enhancements for Residence stays of more than seven nights, and We are Family – perfect for the whole family travelling together and packed with special treats for the children. I can tell you from personal experience travelling with William that all of our Red Carnation Hotels spoil children thoroughly and I guarantee they'll have a good time.

We all look forward to welcoming you and your clients to our wonderful Red Carnation Hotels...

Until we meet again!

Love and hugs,

Terry and William
