Prince and Patron
London’s most famous royal residence – located opposite the Rubens at the Palace and Hotel 41 – invites members of the public to tour 19 of its 775 rooms during the summer months. Furthermore, this year HRH The Prince of Wales has personally selected works of art to display in celebration of his 70th birthday. Highlights include Johan Joseph Zoffany’s 1772 painting of Florence, The Tribuna of the Uffizi, and the cloak of Napoleon Bonaparte, which was immediately removed from Napoleon's carriage following the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 and presented to the future George IV.

Commencing in mid-July, the BBC Proms is internationally renowned for its summer programme of nightly promenade concerts. Taking place in various venues across the capital including the spectacular Royal Albert Hall, the Proms is an essential British summertime event and visitors will enjoy is a finely-tuned symphony of beautiful classical music from plenty of world class musicians and orchestras. By day, take advantage of the talks, workshops and activities organised in association with the proms.

Vitality Women’s Hockey World Cup 2018
Predicted to be the most watched female sporting event in UK history to date, the 2018 Women’s Hockey World Cup will be in full swing come August. London, and its Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, is playing host to the contest between England and 15 top nations. 2014’s victors, the Netherlands, have the highest success rate at the games and are the side to beat. Expect an exuberant atmosphere and world-class sporting talent from this top London event.

Azzedine Alaïa: The Couturier
Michelle Obama, Rihanna, Grace Jones and Greta Garbo have all worn garments which were skilfully crafted by famed couturier Azzedine Alaïa. Following the designer’s death last year, the Design Museum is hosting the first solo UK exhibition to showcase Alaïa’s incredible work. Often referred to as ‘couture’s rebellious outsider’, the stories of Alaïa’s life and career presented alongside pieces from the early 1980s to his most recent collection in 2017 are guaranteed to intrigue.Until 7th October 2018The Design Museum
Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium
Following eight months of matches, the last Rugby League game of 2018 sees two triumphant sides competing for the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup title. This historic knock-out tournament is the sport’s most prestigious battle, the only contest of its kind that involves teams from all levels. There’s nowhere quite like Wembley to witness an action-packed cup final.
