Located below the Oyster Bar, this elegant and intimate setting is perfect for wine tastings or important occasions. Both the chef and sommelier will prepare a bespoke menu for each event, including a selection of award winning wines from South Africa and beyond.

There are few nicer ways to spend a winter’s night than enjoying dinner and a movie. Dine at the Ocean Terrace, where the menu includes authentically prepared wood-fired pizza, sushi and burgers. Judged by General Manager Wayne Coetzer and Executive Chef Kevin Joseph, The Great Oyster Box Bake Off promises to be an entertaining and delicious competition. Enjoy refreshments and snacks as participants are awarded prizes for each category, as well as the title of overall baking champion.

A Restorative crystal healing session at the spa
The focal point of the crystal steam room is a block of rock quartz crystal which is known for its healing properties. The room is kept at a constant temperature of between 42-45 degrees, and the heat is reported to help relieve stress, boost the immune system and help promote circulation and boost the metabolism. For added impact, book the Crystal Steam Rasul Experience, which includes a head-to-toe Moroccan mud mask to moisturise and soften skin.
Bicycle around the Fynbos
Savour the unspoilt beauty of Bushmans Kloof’s extraordinary surroundings by borrowing one of the hotel’s bikes and setting off on an adventure. Guides are available on request and the hotel is happy to suggest a range of trails for guests to choose from, with something to suit all abilities. Guests will also be given backpacks filled with fortifying snacks, a map and other useful items.
Organic garden tour
Bushmans Kloof is very proud of its organic gardens, and rightly so. These lovingly tended gardens are responsible for producing the majority of the fruit and vegetables used in the restaurant and are also kept in accordance with Red Carnation Hotels’ exacting sustainability principles. A tour of the gardens allows guests to get a closer look at the seasonal goings on, as well as learning about the indigenous species that are cultivated here and how they have historically been grown for both their culinary and medicinal properties.

Beyerskloof wine dinner
Known for its superlative Pinotage, Beyerskloof winery is regarded as a specialist in South Africa’s only indigenous grape variety. Established in the late 1980s, the vineyard is run by father and son Beyers and Anri Truter, and this special dinner gives guests the chance to taste the fruits of their labour. Accompanied by a seasonal menu prepared by talented chef Christo Pretorius, this is guaranteed to be a thoroughly delicious evening.

A public holiday in South Africa, this Woman’s Day show the most important woman in your life how special she is with a delectable afternoon tea in the Atlantic Marquee. 12 Apostles’ much-loved tea service - which includes traditional finger sandwiches and homemade scones along with mouth-watering patisserie—will be served from 10am-4pm. Enjoyed with a selection of fine teas and coffee, a vegan high tea option is also available.
